... of the rest of the life -- of this blog.
This is worse than appearing on stage or on tv. The former is fleeting and the latter may be forever out in space, but not many are likely to review it. These blog entries can be viewed ad nauseum.
Or worse, no one -- other than my few invitees -- will see it. Hah!
So, what I loved about Oprah today... (it's going to be hard to be ahead of the crowd on this one, since her show doesn't air until 4pm locally!)
She gave a very deserving woman the use of a team of contractors and a designer to finish refurbishing her house. The best part was that she also was going to provide an alarm system. I *always* say something about that when I occasionally watch the home makeover show. Makes you wonder though, what prompted Oprah to offer it? Enquiring minds want to know!
What I hated about The View today (airs live at 11am -- can't get it sooner anywhere else!)
My sister-in-arms Elisabeth Hasselbeck was on her own against 3 others (as usual). Whoopi and Joy pointed out that there are many older women who are just still so angry about how they were treated in the past that they see Hillary and they just want her to get in because -- if she doesn't, well then everyone will say "See a woman can't win" and then it will be another 20 years before a woman will get another chance.
It makes me wonder... is *that* what we're fighting for? Just getting *any* woman in? Even when we know what she has done to get there? She's just so *not* like Geena Davis!
