Yeah, there are two schools of thought on resolutions -- those that make them over and over, regardless of the outcome year in, year out. And those who scoff at them, thinking they're pointless because "no one ever keeps them."
Well, everybody's right -- but I still try to wipe the slate -- well, maybe not "clean" every year, but I definitely feel as though the new year is the best time to get back on track, and give yourself a kick in the pants to be the best you can be.
Just because chances are I'll veer off-track again doesn't mean I should forego trying -- and this isn't the only day of the year to make these promises to myself. The thing to avoid is cutting yourself too much slack. Balance, ever finding the balance...
So in addition to the usual avowals, I'm going to do my best to post at least once a day, and to comment on more topics, and to write even if there's only a little to say. Brevity has it's place as does verbosity.
And if I could just stick to the one about getting up earlier, I would kill so many birds with but one little stone...
