Miss Virginia, Tara Wheeler, has made a bold choice -- brains over beauty.
While attending a fundraiser for pediatric cancer, she learned of one way the organization raised money. Participants would shave their heads if they met a fundraising goal. She made the decision to shave her locks, too.
After getting permission from the pageant, she has set a goal of $500,000. And not to worry, she has already arranged for a wig to pin her crown on.
"Imagine how those little girls will feel when they get a visit from Miss Virginia and she pulls off her wig?" Wheeler says in the video below.
