« The Hollywood He-Man Woman Haters Club | Main | Pottymouth's Apology to Palin Falls Short »

I take issue with the right's use of several words and phrases.

Spare me the manufactured outrage. Most people, right or left, Palin fans or not, wouldn't touch McGinnis's smutty book with a 10-foot pole.

Yep -- both sides can get a little loosey-goosey with word meanings.

But it's not manufactured outrage. It's highly unfair to place this label on the Palins re: sexual history. There are hypocrites on both sides of the aisle -- more often than not committing immoral acts while projecting moral superiority.

The Left likes to think "hypocrite" only applies to the Right with their "family values" campaigning. But liberals also present a superiority that may not be religiously based, but is there nonetheless.

"Smutty" is too kind. But isn't it hypocritical that these authors took McGinnis to task, while still getting their Palin licks in?
